It’s Christmas Eve, traditionally the day when most Europeans do that whole present opening thing in the evening. I woke up this morning to a world all gone white, not only do we have snow but we have hoar frost everywhere as well. It’s stunningly beautiful.

We, that is my husband and I have not gotten each other gifts this year, the reason being is we are wealthy enough that we can get what we need and mostly want when ever we please. Our wants and needs are not huge, so jet planes and diamonds are not on our wish lists and we don’t tend to spend tons on things most of the time and we are careful but when we see something with our price range that we like, want, need we can usually afford to get it. We are comfortable and therefore extremely lucky. I am grateful for this level of being. Having seen both extremes in life ( poor and wealthy) I like the middle ground somewhat. Some days I think it would be nice to be able to just buy a house or what ever else we wish for but on the other hand being in this zone gives us something to work for. It’s a nice feeling to have to save up for something, to have something to look forward to.

I am very thankful for our wealth in every aspect of that word. We are by, many standards, well off financially, we are unbelievably rich in friends and acquaintances, we are also wealthy in knowledge and understanding of many things in a broad spectrum, and we are rich in abundance with all this world has to offer from the smallest joy of watching birds feed outside our window to the largest joy of having our health and being able to be with family and do all the things we like to do.
